We met Siegfried 9 years ago after moving to Cape Coral. After being in the real estate business for 21 years up north, I knew Siegfried was honest, professional and great with whom to look at houses. Although we weren’t in a position to purchase another home back then, we referred him to our uncle who bought a house with Siegfried. Over the years, Siegfried showed us many houses and probably never imagined selling us one until three months ago when we bought our dream waterfront home. He was great throughout the entire process helping and advising us even after the purchase. He even stopped by today to see our new dock. I would highly recommend Siegfried Fuchs to be your real estate agent! He is the best!

I am writing this review because I feel it is important for others to know of our experience with Siegfried Fuchs and how dishonest and unprofessional he is.

I will note that Siegfried was not our realtor, he was the seller's agent.

We had an accepted offer on the home at 621 SE 21st St, Cape Coral, FL in May. We did not receive a sellers disclosure form for the property and suspected that the roof was nearing its life expectancy. I asked repeatedly as well as our agent what the age of the roof was. Siegfried kept telling our agent he did not know. I called him and also asked and he repeated that the roof could have been replaced without a permit pulled so it was not possible to know. This is ridiculous, of course the owner would know the age of their roof. Either they had it replaced or they had an inspection when they purchased it and would know.

The inspection we paid $550 for uncovered what we were concerned about, the roof had significant issues and was 23 years old. The agent that we were using for insurance was fairly certain we would not be able to get insurance unless the roof was replaced. When I asked Siegfried about this after the inspection he offered no apology, just maintained that the owners did not know. We eventually had to walk away from the house because the owners reduced the price of the home very little recognizing a new roof would be $13K.

He was also the rental agent on the house but also claimed he did not have the rental income information to offer us. This real estate agent gives a bad name to all the honest agents out there. He is dishonest and I would not recommend any seller or buyer do business with him.

I recently bought a house in Cape Coral with Siegfried Fuchs. I have also worked with him in the past on other home purchases in the area. My experiences have been nothing but first rate. He is always professional and forth coming. His commitment to his clients is second to none. He goes above and beyond during the entire purchase process. We bought a home with Siegfried after meeting him at a home we rented in The Cape. We have rented many homes before and Siegfried was by far the most helpful with our questions as a renter. So once we got to talking to him about purchasing pur own home and vacation rental we decided he knew so much and he was a asset as a rental manager that we would need.
Our experience with purchasing a rental home was a emotional experience because we really didnt know what we were doing, but Siegfried kept us focused on what we should be fixing and not fixing for a rental. He also instructed us what to be aware of when looking for a house (roof, polybutalen plumbing, etc). I am a full time REALTOR and mamager in another state and I extremely familiar with what to be aware of up north, but not in Florida. He helped us with that.
While we were out of state, Siegfried looked at every home we asked him to, same day or the next day. He sent us 30 plus pictures of each home and a list of what to consider. This is a lot of time and effort and he always did it, no questions asked. He also dropped everything for us while we were in town to look the entire day at homes.
We did write a contract on a home that ended up not being for us once inspections were done. No one wants to spend 500 plus dollars on a inspection...but even worse to buy a home and find out its a money pit you arent ready for. We were thankful for that experience because it lead us to the right home. Which we now have owned for almost 2 years and we rent it out. We have been pretty successful with our rental and we are in love with our house. One day we will call Florida our permanent home.
